Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Millwright to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production performance. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems will keep our customers facilities running smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead maintenance activities, as youll be working generally on your own and will need to think and resolve issues on you own.
Duties
- Install, align, dismantle, and assemble industrial machinery and equipment according to schematics and technical manuals
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule and document work orders
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Conduct welding repairs and modifications as needed to maintain equipment integrity
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs for troubleshooting and repairs
- Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate tasks to ensure safety standards and production schedules are met
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment status using CMMS tools
- Lead facilities maintenance projects including upgrades or installations of new machinery or infrastructure
- Provide excellent customer service by collaborating with production teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting with leadership responsibilities
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery
- Electrical experience including working with schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC systems
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping
- Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including HVAC, plumbing, or structural repairs is a plus
- Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automation systems
