Your Mission:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Development Manager, Supply & Markets (CDM) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability within your region by building strong relationships with haulers, securing tonnage, and identifying new revenue opportunities. You will play a key role in expanding market presence by partnering with regional facilities to attract new clients, developing innovative profit centers, and representing the organization at tradeshows and community events to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:
- Leading regional sales and business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue across assigned facilities
- Managing a strong sales pipeline, pursuing new leads, and delivering tailored solutions to municipal and ICI partners
- Collaborating cross-functionally to develop proposals, maintain client satisfaction, and ensure alignment on commercial strategies and performance
- Analyzing market trends and leveraging insights to inform decision-making, support forecasting, and achieve profitability targets
- Representing the organization through client meetings, industry engagement, and stakeholder collaboration to expand market presence
- Traveling as required (up to 60%) to support client engagement and business development initiatives

This job is for you if you:
- Have a post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field, with a strong foundation in commercial strategy and development
- Bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar business development or sales role, ideally within the waste management industry or public sector, including exposure to municipal and commercial bid processes
- Demonstrate strong business-to-business sales experience, with the ability to negotiate, develop, and execute contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, supported by excellent communication and influencing skills
- Leverage strong research and analytical capabilities to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions
- Exhibit strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Are a motivated self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Show a high level of drive, adaptability, and flexibility in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and PowerPoint, to effectively support presentations and documentation
- Hold a valid driver’s license and are open to travel as required
Compensation package:
- Annual Salary – range of $83,200.00 – $104,000.00 CAD

About the salary range: A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $83,200.00 – $104,000.00 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
