Lead Hand (Bilingual – English/French)

Cart Connection is an industry leader specializing in the re-manufacture, maintenance, and repair of shopping carts and related equipment for retailers across Canada. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Bilingual Lead Hand to support our service operations and lead by example in the field.
Position Summary
The Bilingual Lead Hand is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to the service team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Cart Connection’s quality standards. This position works closely with Service Technicians, customers, and management to coordinate work, support team members, and maintain excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Service Technicians in daily operations.
- Perform and oversee repairs and maintenance of shopping carts and related equipment.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating daily work assignments.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Communicate with customers in both English and French.
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained and organized.
- Complete required documentation and service reports.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
- Minimum 3 years of service, maintenance, or related industry experience.
- Previous leadership or Lead Hand experience is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Experience with welding is considered an asset.
- WHMIS and safety training certifications are an asset.
