Gray Ridge Eggs Inc. is seeking a Shipping Administration for our Strathroy Grading facility.
Position Overview
The Shipping Administration position works with the Shipping Manager and Shipping Supervisors to ensure timely and efficient receipt and delivery of eggs.
Hours of Work: 2:00pmto 10:30pm, Monday to Friday
Education and Experience

Grade 12 education or equivalent with strong English (both written and verbal) and mathematical skills.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment, thinking and reacting quickly, and making fast yet accurate decisions.

Effective communication, strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Must be computer literate. Experience with NAV is a strong asset.

Must have prior general experience working successfully in both a team environment and independently.

Able to adapt to changes and open to learning new ways to get things done more efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
-
Meet with Shipping Supervisors at the start of each shift and frequently throughout the shift to ensure efficient flow of trailers, books, etc.

Review customer orders for the day and any incoming shipments.

Prepare, finalize and print driver schedules

Update schedules through the shift based on changes in operation

Set up load sheets with employees.

Assist Supervisors with organization/relocation of trailers.

Ensure load sheets have been initialed and include restraint devices sent.

Ensure proper and timely completion of all HACCP paperwork

Communicating verbally with production team on required types and quantities of eggs as well as communicating any problems with the supply.

Conferring with the Distribution Manager/Drivers whenever needed.

Having a solid understanding/experience with various aspects of the shipping department.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with all members of the shipping department.

All other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager.
