Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Iron Worker – Metal Building Systems Erector to join our construction team. This role involves the installation and assembly of metal building components, ensuring structural integrity and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, proficiency with various tools, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial to industrial structures, contributing to the successful completion of high-quality metal building systems.
Short-term 3 week Special Project with potential future long-term contracts. Willing to start asap.
Responsibilities
- Erect and assemble metal building components according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions to ensure precise assembly
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed for structural support
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment for cutting, shaping, and securing materials
- Conduct welding operations to join metal components securely
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed throughout all phases of construction
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration work
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and woodworking tools
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely
- Strong understanding of construction processes including siding installation and structural assembly
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately for precise erection of metal building systems
- Prior construction experience with carpentry or related trades is highly desirable
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality workmanship
Pay: $40.00-$65.00 per hour
