Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced baker to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential for increased hours in the future.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of baked goods--we are known for our delicious bread and bagels. Attention to detail will help ensure that our bakery offerings are fresh and ready for our customers early each morning. The position includes three overnight shifts ending Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. Shifts generally begin at approximately 11:00 p.m. the night before and finish between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working overnight and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and able to manage their workload efficiently while maintaining consistent product quality and a clean, safe workspace.
An immediate start is available. Compensation is negotiable based on experience, with wage reviews after three and six months.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods, including bread, bagels, cookies and pastries, ensuring high quality standards are met.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling products according to recipes.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout the baking process.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including our mixers and woodfire oven.
- Keep the workspace clean and organized during and after shifts to promote a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in baking within a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and care for maintaining baked good standards.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members if needed.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and basic cooking techniques.
- Prior experience in the food industry or bakery environment is highly desirable.
