The successful candidate will:
- Provide individual, group, family, and couple therapeutic counseling services.
- Review client background information, conduct client interviews, and prepare intake and assessment reports.
- Assess client strengths, needs, and appropriate treatment or support plans.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate community-based mental health and wellness programs and services.
- Facilitate workshops and programs related to life skills, substance abuse, behavior management, youth support, and community wellness.
- Maintain ongoing communication with social service agencies, healthcare providers, and other support organizations involved in client care.
- Monitor and document client progress while maintaining accurate and confidential records.
- Advocate on behalf of clients and assist with accessing appropriate medical, clinical, and community supports.
- Coordinate referrals to external service providers as required.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a professional manner.
- Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with clients, staff, community members, and external agencies.
- Manage competing priorities and respond positively in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and timelines.
- Maintain professional conduct in accordance with the standards of applicable professional associations and Sturgeon Lake CFS policies and procedures.
- Follow all organizational safety protocols and maintain strict client confidentiality.
- Demonstrate proficiency in standard office software and administrative systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Pay: $25.02-$73.88 per hour
