Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Host/Hostess to join our team and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for hospitality. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy their experience from arrival to departure. Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but we value enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude above all.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Handle reservations and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information or taking reservations as needed
- Assist servers by relaying guest orders and special requests accurately
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for reservations or seating management
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of service and hospitality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is a plus; food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with hospitality standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
