This is a hands-on role where you'll troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, support production during equipment breakdowns and work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Production to improve equipment reliability. If you enjoy solving complex technical problems and making a direct impact on manufacturing performance, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Diagnose electrical and controls-related issues involving PLCs, sensors, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), communication networks and industrial control systems.

- Troubleshoot HMI systems, industrial communication networks and automated production equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Support equipment upgrades, installations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Millwrights, Engineering, Production and external equipment suppliers to resolve equipment issues.
- Participate in root cause analysis and recommend improvements that increase equipment reliability and reduce recurring failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and support change management documentation.
You'll Thrive in This Role If You...
- Enjoy troubleshooting complex industrial equipment and solving technical problems.
- Like being hands-on and working directly with production equipment.
- Stay calm under pressure and work well during production breakdowns.
- Take pride in identifying root causes instead of temporary fixes.
- Work collaboratively with electricians, millwrights, engineers and production teams.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and are always looking for ways to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical controls, sensors, motors, VFDs, and automated equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLCs is considered an asset.
- Experience with HMI systems, industrial communication networks, FANUC robotics or SCADA systems is considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.
