Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywaller / Taper to join our inclusive team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing drywall and applying textures to create smooth seams and detailed ceiling work that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise in carpentry, caulking, and blueprint reading will ensure precise execution of projects. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, install, and secure drywall according to project specifications and blueprints
- Finish drywall joints using taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing techniques to achieve seamless surfaces
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing materials, tools, and debris throughout the project lifecycle
Skills
- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing with a strong eye for detail
- Knowledge of construction techniques and surface preparation
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Carpentry skills for framing adjustments or minor repairs during drywall installation would be an asset
- Handyman experience that includes caulking, patching, or general maintenance tasks
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding safely and efficiently
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
