Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items quickly and accurately, adhering to safety and quality standards
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Micros POS, to process orders efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Provide friendly, attentive service to guests, addressing their needs and upselling menu items when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in stocking supplies, managing inventory levels, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy periods without sacrificing quality or service
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, order calculations, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with kitchen operations or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
