We are seeking an urgent, reliable, and professional Contract Courier Driver to handle the safe, time-sensitive transport of laboratory specimens and diagnostic materials between healthcare facilities.Runs involve long-distance highway driving (minimum 2-hour stretches). The successful candidate must be ready to start immediately to cover on-call shifts.Key Responsibilities: Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and hospital documents between facilities. Strictly adhere to provincial healthcare transport protocols, including temperature-control handling. Maintain professional, low-profile, and compliant behavior on-site at all hospital facilities. Ensure absolute punctuality for time-sensitive, time-critical runs.Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements: TDG Certification: Must hold a valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Class 6.2 Infectious Substances) certification. Online training can be provided. Clean Driving Record: Must provide a current, clean Ontario Commercial/Personal Driving Abstract (no major infractions). Reliable Vehicle: Must own a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle with up-to-date insurance and registration and a cell phone with messaging capabilities for communication. Background Check: Must be willing to clear a standard criminal record check suitable for hospital environments.
