Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our cleaning team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all housekeeping standards are met consistently, maintain high levels of cleanliness, and foster a positive environment for staff and guests. This role is vital in delivering exceptional hospitality services and maintaining the overall appearance and hygiene of our facility. Prior experience in hotel or hospitality cleaning, as well as custodial or industrial cleaning, is highly valued.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Maintain common areas (public restrooms, railings, vacuuming)
- Clean rooms and help in laundry when needed
- Train new team members on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Assign tasks to meet operational needs
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and storage
- Address guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement cleaning protocols that meet industry standardsRequirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, industrial cleaning, or related fields
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, supplies, and equipment
- Ability to perform supervisory duties with attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Good communication skills to interact with staff and guests professionally
- Prior experience in hospitality or hotel environments is preferred.
