Meat Cutter
Strathcona Square Sobeys is looking for the right person to join our team as a Meat Cutter.
We are looking for a motivated, dependable individual to join our Meat Department as a Meat Cutter Trainee. No previous meat cutting experience is required—we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning a skilled trade while working in a fast-paced retail environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Cutting meat
- Stocking products
- Cleaning
- Assisting customers
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by management
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Possess strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Stand for long periods of time
- Work in a cold work environment
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- Meat cutting certificate from a post-secondary institute
OR
- Willing to learn meat cutting/meat department experience
