Freedom Diving Systems is a professional diving and marine services company. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Shop Assistant to join our team and support daily operations, marine projects, and equipment maintenance. The candidate must also be willing to travel out of town for project needs
Responsibilities
- Assist with shop organization, equipment preparation, and general labour tasks
- Operate and maintain tools and machinery as required
- Support marine projects and vessel operations
- Safely load, move, and lift items weighing 40+ lbs
- Perform mechanical and maintenance tasks as directed
- Work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when needed
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and any issues encountered.
- Be prepared to perform physical tasks in various marine construction environments.
- Actively participate in on-site work, including manual labour and operating tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- MUST BE LOCATED ON THE SUNSHINE COAST B.C
- Full Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required)
- Marine industry experience is not required but an asset
- Willing to learn and have strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with tools safely and effectively
- Physically fit and able to lift/carry heavy items
- Organized, dependable, and a quick learner
- This role requires occasional travel to job sites across British Columbia.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel out of town for project assignments.
