Job Summary
Bayside VLT Lounge is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and customer-focused Bartender / Server to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to restaurant, lounge, banquet, and hotel guests while creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Alberta liquor regulations.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining area, and service stations.
- Restock bar supplies, glassware, and inventory as needed.
- Check guest identification and serve alcohol responsibly.
- Assist with banquet and event service when required.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and hotel staff to provide excellent guest service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory counts.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending and/or serving experience is preferred.
- ProServe certification (required or willingness to obtain before starting).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
