About the Role
Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager or General Manager, you are responsible for performing the reception and dispatch functions of Det’on Cho Kavanaugh LP. You will respond to and forward e-mails and calls coming into the office via radio and phone. You will coordinate routing of services using routing software and report customer issues as directed. You will be the main point of contact for our drivers and workers out in the field. You must have excellent communication skills and be a good problem solver, as you will be dealing directly with employees and residents whether on the phone, email, in person or on the radio. You will work to ensure that a high level of communication, safety and efficiency is maintained throughout the company.
What You Will Do

Receive and respond to, or appropriately forward, requests from customers and residents via phone, email, or in person and maintain accurate records of all communications.

Using customized routing software, perform scheduling and maintenance of routes for all trucks in accordance with the provided weekly schedule ensuring accuracy and balance.

Clearly and efficiently communicate with drivers in person or via radio.

Maintain rental asset lists in Excel.

Ensure routes are scheduled for the next day and that nightly on-call service is active.

Communicate and assist drivers and customers to ensure routes are completed and issues are reported.

Assist with the organization, dispatch, and scheduling of servicing for all waste bins and portable toilets.

Rotate as the dispatcher on-call during evenings and weekends as well as statutory holidays.
What You Bring

Possess a high level of initiative and a positive attitude.

Must possess valid class 5 driver’s license.

Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions.

At least 2 years of experience with dispatching.

Proficient computer and data entry skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Due to possible exposure, immunizations are recommended.

Be in good physical condition.

WHMIS certification.

TDG certification
