Newergy Industries Inc. is developing international business opportunities in the elevator industry. Our current and developing overseas markets include Canada, Australia, Russia, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other international markets.
Our elevator manufacturing facility is located in Jiangsu, China. We are looking for a responsible and self-motivated entry-level International Sales Coordinator to support our overseas business development and daily international coordination work.
This role will work closely with the Director of Overseas Business. For the right candidate, this position may gradually develop into a trusted assistant role supporting the Director of Overseas Business and broader international market development.
Position Summary
This is an entry-level position suitable for a recent graduate or early-career candidate with strong communication skills, good English and Mandarin ability, and a willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will assist with customer communication, distributor coordination, supplier follow-up, sales documentation, quotation preparation, market research, and communication between the Canadian office and our China-based manufacturing team.
This is not a purely administrative role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, follow up independently, communicate clearly, and grow with the company’s international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Overseas Business with daily international business coordination;
- Communicate with customers, distributors, suppliers, and business partners;
- Follow up on customer inquiries, quotations, orders, and project requirements;
- Prepare and organize product information, sales documents, quotation materials, and basic technical documents;
- Coordinate information between the Canadian office and the manufacturing facility in Jiangsu, China;
- Communicate with China-based sales, engineering, production, and supply chain teams;
- Help collect and organize customer requirements, distributor feedback, and overseas market information;
- Assist with overseas market research and distributor development;
- Draft emails, meeting notes, summaries, and internal follow-up documents;
- Use AI tools to improve work efficiency, including research, document preparation, email drafting, meeting summaries, and workflow organization;
- Assist with future product localization, research collaboration, funding applications, and international market development;
- Complete other related tasks assigned by the Director of Overseas Business.
Qualifications
- College diploma or above required;
- Business, international trade, marketing, mechanical, electrical, automation, engineering, computer science, AI, or related education is considered an asset;
- Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are welcome to apply;
- Previous elevator industry experience is not required;
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership;
- Able to follow up on tasks independently without constant supervision;
- Strong communication and coordination skills;
- Detail-oriented and organized;
- Comfortable working with customers, distributors, suppliers, and internal teams;
- Able to learn new products and business processes quickly;
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools to support daily work is preferred;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar business software.
Language Requirement
Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
Our elevator manufacturing facility is located in Jiangsu, China. This role requires regular communication with the factory’s engineering, production, sales, and supply chain teams in Mandarin Chinese, while also communicating with customers, distributors, suppliers, and business partners in English.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly in both languages for emails, meetings, document preparation, and daily business follow-up.
Training and Onboarding
The successful candidate will likely be required to travel to China for approximately two months of training and onboarding at the beginning of the role.
The purpose of the training is to help the candidate understand our elevator products, manufacturing process, technical documents, sales process, supply chain, and overseas business model.
The company can arrange accommodation during the training period in China. Other travel-related matters, including flights, visa, insurance, compensation, and additional expenses, will be discussed separately and confirmed in writing.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel internationally with reasonable notice.
Work Authorization
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
