We are seeking a motivated and experienced AZ Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and freight handling will be essential to keep our operations running smoothly. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks equipped for freight transportation, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct routine inspections of trucks and trailers, performing basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle safety and functionality.
- Verify shipment documentation, coordinate with warehouse teams for accurate freight delivery, and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Maintain detailed logs of trips, deliveries, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or damage during transit or loading/unloading processes.
Skills
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in forklift operation for loading and unloading freight safely.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation.
- Basic automotive repair skills to identify common truck issues and perform minor repairs or maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere strictly to safety guidelines.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road, including lifting heavy items when necessary.
