Electrical / Mechanical Assembler
Shift: From 4pm to 12:30

Pay Rate: CAD $20–23/hour

Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler to join a manufacturing team responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical products for on-time shipment. This role involves building electrical assemblies and subassemblies, wiring control panels, reading engineering drawings, and performing quality inspections in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Mount electrical components within enclosures and perform drilling, tapping, and panel modifications as required.
- Build wire harnesses and cables, including crimping, routing, and securing wiring.
- Wire electrical control panels and electrical devices using schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Troubleshoot wiring and assembly issues and perform necessary repairs or modifications.
- Support root cause analysis and provide recommendations to resolve product or manufacturing issues.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Package finished products and prepare them for shipment.
- Perform inventory transactions and material transfers using SAP.
- Tag, segregate, and move nonconforming materials following quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate work-in-process (WIP) inventory records.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection procedures when handling sensitive electronic components.
- Comply with all quality, environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
- Ability to read assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or educational background in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience assembling electrical control panels or industrial electrical equipment.
- Experience with wire harness assembly, cable routing, and crimping.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours during a shift.
- Frequent bending, stretching, and repetitive movement.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
