Vancouver Whitecaps FC is seeking a creative and collaborative Graphic Designer to help bring our brand to life through innovative visual storytelling.
Reporting to the Manager, Graphic Design, you will be responsible for developing creative concepts and designs that elevate and differentiate the Whitecaps FC brand. This role is about more than creating visually compelling graphics - it's about creating meaningful experiences and strengthening the connection between our Club and our fans through impactful storytelling across digital and print platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret creative briefs and transform ideas into compelling, on-brand creative from concept through final production with minimal supervision.
- Design print and digital assets that support marketing campaigns, ticket sales, sponsorship, events, and soccer operations.
- Create engaging visual experiences across brand, marketing, experiential, and digital touchpoints.
- Design and maintain graphics and visual assets for Club websites and digital platforms.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team and cross-functional departments to produce innovative and engaging creative content.
- Stay current with emerging design trends, techniques, and best practices, particularly within the sports and entertainment industry.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
- Provide creative support for matchday content and other Club initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional design.
You will bring:
- A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Art, Film Production, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to develop creative concepts and produce high-quality, production-ready design assets across a variety of mediums.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard creative tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required.
