Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues accurately using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake replacements, suspension repairs, and electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding, and other physically demanding tasks
- Read and interpret technical schematics and repair manuals for precise repairs
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience as a mechanic or technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems and components
- Hands-on experience with welding, assembly, and the use of schematics for troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment required for automotive repair
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and build trust with clients
- Prior experience working with automotive schematics and performing complex repairs is highly desirable
