Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated 1A Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and freight handling will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight between locations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight/ wood shavings
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and freight records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition
- Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies during operations
- Various schedules available
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy equipment operation
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportatio
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and excellent communication skills
