Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, creating a friendly atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through friendly recommendations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties and processing payments swiftly
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, providing prompt service and addressing any concerns with professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with strong guest service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cashiering
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, change calculation, and inventory checks
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and team members
- Demonstrated hospitality mindset with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and upselling opportunities
