The Managing Consultant provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Alternate Care Provider Services portfolio, including employees and contracted healthcare professionals. As the day-to-day lead for the portfolio, the Consultant oversees program operations, workforce planning, provider utilization, service coverage, scheduling, invoicing, and continuous improvement initiatives that support effective clinical service delivery. This position leads program development, implementation, and evaluation through policy interpretation, environmental scanning, data analysis, and recommendations for sustainable system-wide improvements. The Consultant serves as the primary subject matter expert on alternate care provider roles, contractual agreements, and organizational policies, providing expert advice to operational and medical leaders regarding service delivery models, workforce optimization, and program implementation aligned with organizational and clinical priorities. Working collaboratively across sites, departments, and stakeholder groups, the Consultant builds and maintains strong partnerships, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and develops data-driven insights to support workforce and service planning. The role manages complex provider contract and performance processes, ensures compliance with applicable policies and agreements, and oversees administrative functions that support the portfolio. The Consultant provides leadership to administrative staff through coaching, performance management, professional development, and process improvement initiatives. Through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, the Consultant advances program effectiveness, supports high-quality patient care, and ensures the efficient delivery of alternate care provider services across Covenant Health.

Required Qualifications:
Baccalaureate with a Health-related focus, Business Administration, or related field. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, physicians, and administrative personnel. Proven ability to maintain the highest levels of diplomacy, confidentiality, and professional integrity in complex situations. Advanced conflict resolution and negotiation skills with experience mediating sensitive.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Five (5) years progressive experience in healthcare administration with demonstrable expertise in provider management and strategic program oversight. Demonstrated experience managing complex service contracts and performance management frameworks. Experience leading and supervising administrative staff, including conducting performance evaluations and professional development. Proven ability to analyze financial data, understand budgetary implications, and make sound recommendations that balance clinical needs with fiscal responsibility. Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and service improvement initiatives. provider-related matters. Advanced computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, healthcare information systems, and data analysis tools. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in nursing or relevant healthcare masters. 4 to 6 years supervisory experience. Experience in healthcare facility operations with knowledge of physician and alternate provider services. Familiarity with the personnel management and payment systems. Advanced proficiency in data analysis, report generation, and presentation development. Strong critical thinking and strategic insight.
