At Mackie Homes, we believe building a home should be an exciting and enjoyable experience. We're looking for a highly organized, customer-focused and detail-oriented Selections Coordinator to join our growing team and play a key role in guiding homeowners through the design and selections process.
As the Selections Coordinator, you will work closely with our Sales Team, Construction Team, and General Manager to ensure homeowners receive exceptional service from the moment they purchase their home through the design and pre-construction stages. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for detail and design, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Whether you have experience in homebuilding, interior design, customer service, or project coordination, we will work together to support the successful candidate be successful in the role.
Key Responsibilities
Homeowner Design & Selections Experience
- Conduct design appointments with homeowners at our Selections Centre and Model Home/s.
- Guide homeowners through available finishes, fixtures, and upgrade options for their chosen home model.
- Develop strong product knowledge of available materials, products, and selections.
- Assist homeowners in making informed decisions while creating a positive and enjoyable experience.
Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the selections process.
- Communicate with homeowners through in-person meetings, email, phone calls, and our cloud-based platform.
- Answer questions and provide ongoing support regarding the design and construction process.
- Ensure homeowners feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their new home journey.
Construction & Sales Team Coordination
- Work closely with Sales and Construction teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Ability to understand construction workflow and relay to clients regarding available upgrades depending on stage of construction.
- Communicate homeowner selections, approvals, and changes to the Construction Team and trades.
- Assist site staff with timely information when decisions or clarifications are required.
- Participate in job-site verification appointments as needed.
Administration & Project Management
- Maintain accurate records of homeowner selections and communications.
- Log conversations, approvals, and updates within cloud-based software.
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars.
- Upload photos, documents, and homeowner files.
- Coordinate meeting times with homeowners
- Ensure all project files and records remain organized and up to date.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong judgment and accountability – Evaluates situations objectively and stands behind decisions with evidence-based reasoning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, OneDrive, Excel, Canva and modern cloud-based systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential construction, homebuilding, interior design, real estate, project coordination, with an emphasis on customer service.
- Familiarity with cloud-based software or similar construction/project management software is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of residential construction and new home design is an asset but not required.
