Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, accurately handling transactions, and supporting food preparation and sanitation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations in accordance with health regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues efficiently
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for all new hires
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or kitchen work is beneficial for understanding restaurant operations
