This position requirers reliable transportation to many different job site all over the greater Moncton area including some out of town work in Halifax, Fredericton, etc.
Responsibilities
- Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure accurate cabinet placement.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, measuring, and setting up tools and materials needed for installation projects.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to install cabinets, ensuring alignment, levelness, and secure fastening.
- Support team members in heavy lifting and positioning of cabinetry components during installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on project timelines and communicate progress or issues promptly.
- Learn and grow your skills quickly
Skills
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics for cabinetry projects.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment used in installation work.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on precision in measurements and alignment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions and work well within a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as woodworking, flooring installation, or masonry as needed.
- Prior construction experience or handyman background is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hands-on work is essential.
