Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Hook Lift Truck Driver or experienced D/DZ driver to join our bin rental company. Ideal for a driver looking for 20 to 40 hours per week, can be flexible with days needed off and weekly hours with notice. Semi retired drivers welcome to apply, availability daily mornings required, no strenuous work. Work area is Windsor/Essex county and occasionally Tilbury/Chatham
Duties
- Safely operate hook lift trucks to pick up and drop off bins from customers/contractors and pick up to dump.
- Conduct daily routine inspections of the truck to ensure safety standards are met before each shift.
- Tarp and untarp bins as necessary
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules and delivery statuses.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial DZ preferred at least D class license, able to drive a 6 speed manual a bonus (may be required when Automatic truck being serviced)
- Experience operating hook lift trucks or similar roll off trucks preferred
- Strong driving skills with a clean abstract driving record with 5 years minimum experience preferred
- Need a cell phone with data to communicate
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
