Full job description

BCRS Road safe inc. is a leading traffic control company in western Canada looking for experienced TCP & LCT in Fraser Valley area, candidates will collaborate closely with the team to ensure the successful completion of projects and capitalize on growth prospects.

This role directly reports to BCRS's Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

Safely setting up and tearing down worksites
Validate and adhere to safety protocols.
Report improper or hazardous work practices and conditions.
Maintain trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications and monitor mileage to optimize fuel efficiency.
Develop positive relationships with clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Equipment Setup, Maintenance, and Inspection:

Set up and maintain traffic control equipment.
Regularly inspect devices to ensure safety and compliance.

Traffic and Pedestrian Direction:

Direct traffic, pedestrians, and workers at road construction sites.
Clear communication is crucial for effective traffic management.

Public Interaction:

Interact with the traveling public.
Maintain a positive attitude while representing the company.

First Aid Duties:

Provide first aid within your training scope and WSBC requirements.

Additional Labor Tasks:

Be flexible and perform other labor duties as needed.

Keep up the great work in contributing to road safety!

Experience/Qualifications:

BCCSA TCP Certification
Experience in paving or road construction industry
Arrive on time for work
Be willing to work with others.
Great communication skills Strong safety mind
Participate in the daily toolbox meeting.
Be always professional
Comfortable with the physical demands of the LCT role, including but not limited to:
The ability to navigate a mobile dispatch app.
Lifting up to 30 lbs
Standing for long periods of time uninterrupted
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working on highway as LCT.
Excellent communications skills
Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver’s abstract.
Ability to flexibly work in various shifts (day, afternoon, night) and all weather condition

Job Type: Full-time, part time & Casual
