À propos de nous :

J. Collins Construction est un entrepreneur général de premier plan à Montréal, dédié à la réalisation de projets de construction résidentiels, commerciaux et industriels de haute qualité. Nous sommes actuellement à la recherche d'un charpentier qualifié et expérimenté pour rejoindre notre équipe dynamique.

Responsabilités :

Effectuer la mise en place et le traçage des matériaux avant l’assemblage.
Mesurer, couper, usiner et assembler le bois, les produits dérivés du bois, l’acier léger et autres matériaux structuraux.
Monter les structures porteuses : poutres, solives, chevrons, colombages et systèmes de toiture.
Installer des revêtements de plancher, sous-planchers, parements muraux, bardages et soffites.
Poser et ajuster des fenêtres, portes, escaliers, rampes, plinthes, moulures décoratives et quincaillerie architecturale.
Lire et interpréter des plans d’architecture, dessins d’atelier et devis techniques pour respecter les tolérances et normes de construction.
Vérifier l’équerrage, l’aplomb et le niveau des structures et éléments installés.
Utiliser de façon sécuritaire et efficace les outils manuels et machines stationnaires (scies, raboteuses, toupies, etc.).
Assurer le respect des normes de sécurité, des codes du bâtiment et des pratiques de chantier.
Coordonner les travaux avec les contremaîtres, chefs de projet et autres corps de métier.

Qualifications :

Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience en tant que charpentier.
Maîtrise de l'utilisation des outils manuels, outils électriques et machines de menuiserie.
Solides connaissances des méthodes de construction, des matériaux et des codes du bâtiment.
Capacité à lire des plans et des dessins techniques.
Endurance physique et force pour effectuer des travaux manuels.
Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et souci du détail.
Permis de conduire valide et moyen de transport fiable.

About Us:

J. Collins Construction is a leading general contractor in Montreal, dedicated to delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform layout, marking, and precision measuring of materials prior to assembly.
Cut, machine, fabricate, and assemble wood, engineered wood products, light-gauge steel, and other structural materials.
Erect load-bearing structures including beams, joists, rafters, studs, and roof framing systems.
Install subflooring, floor sheathing, wall sheathing, siding, soffits, and exterior/interior trim work.
Fit, align, and finish windows, doors, staircases, handrails, baseboards, crown moldings, and architectural hardware.
Read and interpret architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes and tolerances.
Check level, plumb, and square of installed components to ensure structural integrity and finish quality.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and stationary woodworking machinery (saws, planers, routers, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Ensure worksite safety, cleanliness, and compliance with construction standards.
Coordinate tasks with foremen, project managers, and other trades to meet project schedules.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Carpenter.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Physical stamina and strength to handle manual labor.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
