Help people create homes they love. Join the Urban Barn team as a Full-time Assistant Store Manager at our new Moncton, New Brunswick store, opening at the end of October 2026.

With over 50 retail stores across Canada, Urban Barn is a proudly Canadian retailer offering high-quality furniture and home décor. We are passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences and helping our employees grow their careers.

Be part of the launch of an inspiring furniture and home décor store. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in building a strong team, creating a positive work environment, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. A key part of your role will be driving sales success by connecting with customers and coaching the team to achieve results.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new store opening, contribute to building a team from the ground up, and bring your creativity and passion for design into a large-format store environment.

Training is scheduled to begin on September 8, 2026, with some sessions taking place at our Dartmouth, NS store.

Our stores are open 7 days a week, so we are looking for candidates who can work 40 hours per week and are available to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

What You Will Do:

Guide customers in their decor choices
Drive store sales by leading by example on the sales floor and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Lead, coach, and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service and sales results.
Communicate your expectations to the team and provide training and feedback
Manage store merchandising, inventory, and shrink
Lead and maintain the visual standards and cleanliness of the store

What you Bring:

At least 2 years of Retail Sales Management experience
Bilingual language skills (French & English) are an asset
Experience with achieving sales targets
A passion for interior décor and merchandising
Proven ability to coach and develop a team of top performers
Commitment to a flexible schedule (Open availability for daytime, evening, and weekend shifts)
The ability to lift and move loads up to 50 lbs / 23 kg
