Responsibilities
As a Family Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages while practising evidence-based medicine in a professional setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive family medicine across all age groups
- Performing medical assessments, examinations and preventive care
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
- Developing individualized treatment plans
- Prescribing medications and monitoring patient outcomes
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records using TELUS Health Med Access
- Providing health promotion, preventive care and patient education
- Collaborating with specialists and allied healthcare professionals
- Participating in ongoing professional development
