Position: Inside Technical Sales Representative
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Schedule: 40 hours per week

SUMMARY

The Technical Counter Sales Representative is responsible for a wide variety of in-store administrative tasks to support the company's sales and operating objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Store Operations & Customer Service

Greet customers in-store in a professional and courteous manner.
Assist customers in defining their product needs.
Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic hoses using the tools, equipment and training provided.
Prepare, pack, and ship orders and transfers.

• Maintain stock levels and in-store product displays. • Ensure the cleanliness, attractiveness and safety of the store.

Actively participate in refresher training offered by the company and suppliers.
Provide complete and accurate information to other support departments, such as Purchasing, Credit and Technical Services.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.

2. Warehouse

Respect the safety instructions regarding access to the warehouse and the use of machinery.
Receive, process and report any discrepancies in incoming orders (purchase orders, transfers) ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data.
Follow up on transfers in transit and report any discrepancies.
Packing goods so that they arrive intact at the customer or supplier.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the inventory management system.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are always available.
Assist in the organization and maintenance of the warehouse, including shelving, labeling and cleaning.
Participate in periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical requirements

Moderate physical activity.
Ability to lift loads up to 40 lbs.

Mental demands

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience required

Technical or mechanical training and/or recognized experience in hydraulics or pneumatics.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills. Immediately
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
