Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Director – Blockchain & Smart Contract Systems to lead our innovative technology initiatives. This executive role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in blockchain technology, smart contract development, and enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will oversee the design, implementation, and management of complex systems, ensuring security, scalability, and compliance while driving technological innovation aligned with business goals. This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of blockchain solutions within a dynamic organization committed to cutting-edge advancements.

Duties

Lead the development and deployment of blockchain platforms and smart contract systems, ensuring robust security protocols and compliance with industry standards such as PCI.
Oversee system architecture design, including virtualization (VMware, vSphere), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and network infrastructure (Cisco routers, VPNs, firewalls).
Manage IT operations related to system administration, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity strategies across diverse environments including Windows Server, Linux, and Oracle databases.
Drive software development initiatives utilizing languages such as Java, C#, Python, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL; implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
Coordinate IT project management activities using tools like Microsoft Project and Jira; lead cross-functional teams through Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of technology projects.
Oversee vendor management for hardware/software procurement and support services; maintain relationships with external partners to optimize system performance.
Implement information security measures including network security protocols, PCI compliance standards, vulnerability assessments, and firewall configurations.
Manage system engineering tasks involving virtualization technologies (Citrix), SAN storage solutions, PowerShell scripting, DHCP/IP configuration, IIS setup, SCCM deployment, and SolarWinds monitoring tools.
Provide technical support and leadership for help desk operations; ensure high levels of customer service across all technical functions.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in blockchain technology, cybersecurity best practices, DevOps practices (including Docker and DevOps tools), and IT infrastructure innovations to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications

Proven experience in leading technology teams as a CTO or senior IT executive within a blockchain or fintech environment.
Extensive knowledge of blockchain platforms and smart contract development with hands-on experience in APIs integration.
Strong background in system administration across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premises environments; familiarity with virtualization (VMware vSphere), containerization (Docker), and networking protocols (TCP/IP, WAN).
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python, Java; experience with database management systems including SQL Server, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of HTML for web-based interfaces.
Expertise in cybersecurity principles including network security measures like VPNs, firewalls; understanding of PCI standards; disaster recovery planning.
Skilled in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Jira; adept at Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while fostering innovation within teams.
Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certifications. This role is ideal for a strategic leader passionate about leveraging blockchain technology to transform industries while maintaining rigorous standards for security and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technology division, overseeing team structure, growth, and performance.
Develop and execute the technical strategy aligned with business goals — including architecture design, key technical decisions, and long-term roadmap.
Manage the full product lifecycle from requirements to delivery, ensuring top-tier code quality, performance, and post-launch stability.
Safeguard system security and reliability, overseeing daily operations, risk assessments, and proactive prevention measures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of Java software development experience.
3+ years managing engineering teams (20+ members).
Expertise in Java & Go, with strong architecture design capabilities.
Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, P2P networks, distributed storage, and consensus mechanisms.
Familiarity with Ethereum, IPFS, Filecoin, Bitcoin, Hyperledger, and OpenChain.
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, encryption, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
Strong insight into trading system architecture and performance optimization.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or modifications to core blockchain source code are a major plus.
Can communicate in both English and Mandarin.

Preferred Profile

Proven leadership in Web3 or crypto exchange environments.
Open to initial remote collaboration in China. Eager to shape the future of global blockchain technology and decentralized finance.

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
