Sparkling Legacy is hiring Child and Youth Care Workers!

We provide in-home and community-based lifeskills supports, respite care, and housekeeping to primarily neurodivergent households, and we are proud to also hire neurodivergent staff members.

You have an excellent understanding of consent and apply it throughout your life
Safety focus and experience supporting people who may use unexpected behaviours to communicate their needs
You must be willing to center the people you serve- we are often a significant piece in a child’s attachment and support matrix. Please don't apply if you are flaky or noncommittal. This is more than "just a job" to the people we help.
Ability to problem solve in high pressure situations
Physical ability to handle the demands of a physical job
Desire to help and clean up around the house- housework is part of this role for many of our clients
Ability to pass a vulnerable sector criminal record check
Access to your own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clear driving record are greatly beneficial to this position.

Please note: because this is a community based position and not a facility, we will not have a full time role for you to walk into. Our positions ramp up from part-time/casual to full time roles for the staff that want that many hours and have good availability.

Pay: $25.30 per hour
