Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a licenced, skilled , experienced (2+ years), dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience with automotive repair. Must possess a 310S licence or equivalent. Having both a 310S and 310T would be a definite asset.

Duties

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles and using schematics, technical manuals and specialized diagnostic tools
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and system inspections
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, to complete repairs
Troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicles, ensuring all systems function correctly
Assist in the assembly or disassembly of mechanical components for repair or replacement
Follow safety protocols during all maintenance procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines
Maintain detailed records of services performed for each vehicle

Skills

Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic (2 + years)
Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, hydraulic, and engine components
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
Familiarity with schematics for electrical or mechanical systems
Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks regularly
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and service advisors about repairs and maintenance needs
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently

This position requires a motivated individual with a passion for automotive technology. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment that values safety, precision, and excellent service delivery. Must be a Canadian resident.

Pay: $32.00-$42.00 per hour
