Banquet Captain

Nita Lake Lodge – Whistler, BC

Lead exceptional events in a luxury setting.

At Nita Lake Lodge, we deliver elevated, personalized guest experiences—and our Banquets team plays a key role in bringing those moments to life. We are seeking a Banquet Captain who is a confident leader, highly organized, and passionate about delivering seamless, high-quality events.

About the Role

As a Banquet Captain, you will lead the execution of events from start to finish, ensuring service standards, team coordination, and guest experience are consistently delivered at a high level.

You will act as the on-floor leader during events, guiding the team, managing timing and flow, and responding to guest needs in real time.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Lead and supervise banquet service teams during events
Coordinate event execution across front of house, kitchen, and bar teams
Ensure all events are delivered to high service and presentation standards
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during events
Proactively resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency
Support training and coaching of banquet staff
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards
Complete administrative duties including billing, reporting, and event documentation

What You Bring

4+ years of banquet or event service experience
Proven ability to lead and direct teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Serving It Right certification (required)
First Aid certification (asset)
Strong understanding of food & beverage service standards
