Business Analyst I

Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.

We are currently seeking a qualified Business Analyst The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, building scalable Power BI solutions, and delivering meaningful insights that improve business performance. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to design data models, create dashboards and reports, and support strategic initiatives through data-driven recommendations.

Location: St-Laurent, Quebec
Job Type: Contractor
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (Salesforce, Jira, Planisware, internal dashboards).
Design, develop, and maintain Power Bl dashboards and reports.
Create interactive visualizations and executive-level scorecards.
Ensure dashboards provide accurate, reliable, and user-friendly insights
Partner with business leaders to understand reporting needs.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Provide training and support to dashboard users.
Perform root cause analysis on implementation issues and develop dashboards to monitor KPls

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power Bl, Tableau) and analytics platforms
Experience with KPI frameworks and governance models.
Familiarity with issue tracking systems (Jira, Salesforce) and multilingual environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across organizational levels and support leadership teams.
A results-driven mindset with strong focus on achieving project objectives.
Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability.
Autonomy in task execution and decision-making within established frameworks.
Flexibility and agility in managing priorities and adapting to evolving needs.
Bilingualism (French and English} is required.
