Full job description

THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst (Sage 300) for an exciting contract engagement. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will play a key role in evaluating existing workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the optimization of Sage 300. You will act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring system enhancements align with organizational objectives and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and system utilization
Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for system enhancements and process improvements
Collaborate with finance and operational teams to optimize Sage 300 functionality and workflows
Support ERP upgrades, integrations, testing activities, and implementation initiatives
Facilitate user acceptance testing and assist with issue resolution
Develop reports, process documentation, and user guides
Deliver end-user training and support change management initiatives
Partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs and drive continuous improvement

With strong Sage 300 expertise and a solid foundation in finance-related processes, you can quickly assess business needs, recommend improvements, and support successful project delivery. You are an effective communicator who can confidently interact with both technical teams and business leaders while managing competing priorities.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of Business Analyst, ERP Consulting, or related experience
Advanced, hands-on experience with Sage 300
Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and operational business processes
Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or transformation initiatives
Proven ability to gather, document, and validate business requirements
Experience facilitating user acceptance testing and supporting system deployments
Strong process analysis and business process improvement skills
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship-building abilities
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Experience creating reports, documentation, and training materials
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Power BI, SQL reporting, or Sage Intelligence considered an asset
CPA designation or accounting background considered an asset
