Business Development Representative - CPG Food Service

Victoria, BC

Our client, a rapidly growing global CPG organization, is currently partnering with Nick Kanaan of Lock Search Group to find their next Business Development Representative. They’re seeking a highly driven sales professional to support their continuous growth. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, sales-driven individual with a background in business development and a track record of new client acquisition.

In this role your primary mission is to hunt for new clients, expand existing accounts, and capture opportunities globally. If you're someone who thrives on cold calling, building relationships from the ground up, and being on the frontlines of revenue generation, this is the opportunity for you. Key Responsibilities

Drive revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within your assigned business unit.
Perform strategic cold calling daily to introduce services and uncover client needs.
Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of potential accounts through multiple outreach methods (phone, email, digital tools, etc.).
Collaborate with pricing, operations, and leadership to develop tailored solutions for new customers.
Develop and execute territory-specific business development strategies.
Provide consistent follow-up and relationship nurturing to convert leads into long-term clients.
Retain and up-sell existing accounts, ensuring continued satisfaction and growth.
Maintain accurate records in CRM, ensuring visibility of your pipeline and conversion metrics.

Qualifications:

3–5 years of sales experience
Strong cold calling and objection-handling abilities; unafraid of the outbound grind.
Ability to communicate value clearly with decision-makers at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Results-oriented, highly motivated, and target-driven.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
A positive, growth-minded attitude with a passion for business development.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
Prefer a background within consumer-packaged goods, food distribution, food service is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary 75-85K + Annual Bonus
Extended Benefit plan & holidays
