Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Woman <PERSON> to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments, with a strong background in welding, mechanical systems, and blueprint reading. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex projects that require precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing technical tasks that support the ongoing operations and maintenance of our facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welding to fabricate, repair, or modify metal components according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement instruments for assembly and inspection processes.
Conduct HVAC system maintenance, plumbing repairs, and general mechanical work as required.
Assist with rigging operations for equipment installation or movement within manufacturing or construction sites.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematic diagrams and technical knowledge to identify root causes.
Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, lubrication, and preventive maintenance procedures.
Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring detailed schematics and technical expertise.
Support manufacturing or construction activities by applying your knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Journeyman/Woman in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance fields.
Extensive knowledge of welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, schematics, and mechanical components.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, rigging equipment, and basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations.
Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex projects requiring precision craftsmanship.
Valid certification or licensing as a Journeyman/Woman is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
Commitment to safety standards with the ability to identify potential hazards in the work environment.
