Full job description

SUMMARY:

The Adult Day Program Clinical Lead (ADP Clinical Lead) will provide guidance and clinical expertise in direct client care and provide input to support the supervisor in program planning and implementation as required. The Program Nursing Lead is accountable for assisting in the coordination of flow of work on site including mentoring and on-the-job training for staff and volunteers consistent with ONE CARE policies and procedures. Engages with clients /caregivers, providing assessment of clients and oversight of client care needs as well as care giver needs in order to provide high quality client-centered care. This role requires travels to different Adult Day Program Sites, throughout Huron County.

QUALIFICATIONS:

RN, RPN, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
5 years related experience.
Expertise relating to the aging population and provision of community-based services, knowledge of issues in gerontology and resulting health issues
Training and experience with specific approaches such as Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), PIECES, Montessori, DimentiAbility are an asset.
Proficiency in use of computer (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and typical office equipment).
Valid driver’s license, insurance and use of vehicle.
Ability to speak French would be considered an asset.
