**Business Development/Sales Manager**

Overview
X West Carriers is a family-owned and operated transportation company established in 2001. In 2007, we expanded our services by launching X West Logistics, providing freight brokerage and logistics solutions throughout Canada and the United States.

We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our customers through exceptional service, carrier partner connections, communication, and reliability. We're looking for an experienced transportation sales professional who shares those values and is ready to grow with us.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager to help grow our transportation and logistics division.

This is an outside sales position focused on developing new business while communicating with our logistics and management team in the office. You'll have the support of our experienced operations and customer service team, allowing you to focus on building relationships and generating revenue.

We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, and thrives on developing long-term customer partnerships working as a team

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities throughout Ontario and surrounding markets
Maintain and grow your existing customer base
Build strong relationships with customers through exceptional service
Work closely with our dispatch and operations team to ensure outstanding customer service
Connecting the customers' with the logistics team to customize freight quotes
Meet or exceed sales and revenue goals
Represent X West professionally while building long-term partnerships
Report to office weekly (New Dundee) / on the schedule decided upon

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of transportation or 3PL sales experience (more experience is an asset)
Existing transportation customer base/book of business is required
Proven track record of business development and account management
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
