NextBrick is a growing manufacturer of premium concrete pavers and landscape products based in Brockville, Ontario. We operate a modern automated production line and are looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in manufacturing, equipment operation, and maintenance.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an interest in mechanical or electrical systems, and wants to develop technical skills while working in a manufacturing environment.
Position Summary
The Production Technician Apprentice is responsible for supporting daily production activities while learning equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role combines general labour duties with technical training and offers opportunities for advancement into Equipment Operator, Maintenance Technician, or Production Lead positions.
Training will be provided.
ResponsibilitiesProduction Duties
- Assist with daily production activities
- Package and stack concrete products
- Prepare pallets and packaging materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Perform quality checks on finished products
- Support other manufacturing and warehouse activities as required
Technical Training & Equipment Support
- Learn to operate automated production equipment
- Assist with routine equipment inspections and maintenance
- Help troubleshoot mechanical and production issues
- Learn basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Assist with equipment changeovers and adjustments
- Work alongside experienced operators and technicians
- Participate in preventive maintenance activities
QualificationsPreferred
- Background in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, Automotive, or related fields
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Forklift experience or certification
- Manufacturing experience is an asset
Required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation to Brockville
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work safely and follow procedures
No experience is required for the right candidate. We are willing to train individuals who demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a desire to develop technical skills.
