Full job description

Clinique Ovo is currently seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist for a full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and issue invoices to patients, physicians, partner clinics, companies, and other clients.
Verify the accuracy of billing information and make any necessary corrections.
Process billing adjustments, credit notes, and other invoice corrections as required.
Monitor incoming payments and accurately record them in the financial systems.
Follow up on outstanding accounts and manage collection activities.
Communicate with clients by telephone, email, or written correspondence to facilitate collections.
Review client accounts and recommend appropriate solutions to resolve outstanding balances.
Negotiate payment arrangements and schedules in accordance with company policies.
Follow up on payment commitments and perform collection reminders as needed.
Prepare and issue collection notices, reminder letters, and other collection-related correspondence.
Respond to inquiries from patients and partners regarding billing, payments, and account balances.
Document all collection activities in the organization's systems and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
Prepare periodic reports on accounts receivable, collection activities, and key performance indicators.
Collaborate with the Finance, Customer Service, and Operations teams to resolve billing-related issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

College diploma (DEC) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in collections, billing, or accounts receivable.
Excellent command of French and good working knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience using an accounting software or ERP system (NetSuite is considered an asset).
Experience in the healthcare industry or professional services is considered an asset.
