About the Opportunity: Electrical Systems Designer (6 Month Contract)
We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to join our engineering team as a Electrical Systems Designer. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your experience and to contribute to the growth and development of our team.
In this role you will be responsible for:

Electrical design of control panels using E-Plan Electrical.

PLC programming.

Work with project teams to provide complete solutions for customers.

Review consulting engineers’ drawings and specifications.

Field electrical questions from sales channels and consulting engineers.

Provide pre-sale electrical drawings and support to sales channels.
-
Assist AE’s with quotes on custom control panels.
-
Develop complete and accurate electrical drawings using ACADE for panels.

Participate in Kickoff and Production Readiness meetings to ensure proper design and BOM’s for production of skids and panels.

Assistant to the panel shop, wiring and testing.

Contribute to success of the engineering team.

Balance load of 10-20 projects in various stages.
Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in electrical systems design, industrial controls, or automation, along with a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with electrical design software such as EPLAN Electrical and AutoCAD, and have experience with PLC systems, motor controls, drives, instrumentation, and industrial control panels. Knowledge of UL 508A and the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)/NEC is preferred.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple projects, working independently or as part of a team, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Working Environment
This contract position offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience. While this role is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits or paid vacation, it provides the opportunity to work on meaningful projects within a collaborative and professional team environment.
