COMPANY OVERVIEW

FreshPoint, a division of Sysco, is the largest produce distributor in North America, we focus on bringing fresh food from the farmer’s field to our customers’ kitchens. ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is responsible for order picking and it can be physically demanding with continualwalking,standing,stretching,bending,andlifting.Italsorequiresremembering details of products and customers’ requirements

Pay Range - $ 20.5 - $ 21.5 /hrs

Schedule - Sunday - Thursday 06:00 p.m. - 02:30 a.m.

Friday & Saturday Off

OT and Statutory days as required

Responsibilities:

Order Selection:

Palletize and effectively organize finished products.
Organize finish product cooler and put away at the end of production.
Vigilantly monitor product quality.
Coordinate with other workstations to ensure order competition.
Put away finish product and raw material at the end of the shift.
Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Teamwork:
May assist in training new selectors on safe work practices and order selection procedures.
Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Skills:

Order Selection: Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.
Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
Physical Strength:

Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) frequently.
Organize products including transportation by pallet jack in production area and wrapping pallet (50%).
Noisy environment, hearing protection provided.
Cold environment (1 to 7 degrees Celsius, 100%)
May require operating food processing machinery, Rider, Manual pallet jack.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders.
Safety Awareness: Strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications:

Forklift certification preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or GED

Experience:

2+ years of experience
