As we continue to grow, we are currently looking for experienced Journeyperson Welder to join our team in Lanigan, Saskatchewan. We strongly prefer Journeyperson Welders; however, highly motivated apprentices or CWB-certified welders with relevant underground mining experience may also be considered.

Schedule: 7-on, 7-off rotation | 12-Hour Shifts | Alternating Day and Night Rotations
Compensation: $35.00 - $50.00/ Hour (Starting rate based on experience & specialized ticket premiums)
Commute: Independent commute required | Living Out Allowance (LOA) available for eligible employees. Please note: This is not a camp job.
Position Summary
As an Underground Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work. Working closely with site crews and leadership, you will ensure underground equipment, infrastructure, and components are maintained safely and efficiently to support ongoing operations.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork in challenging underground environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a safety-sensitive position with no direct reports. Your duties include:
Welding and Fabrication
- Perform welding repairs: Repair worn or damaged equipment, structural components, and mining infrastructure.
- Fabricate components: Cut, fit, and assemble metal parts and structures according to specifications and operational requirements.
- Operate welding equipment: Safely operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment and associated fabrication tools.
- Maintenance & Repair
- Interpret technical drawings: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to complete assigned work.
- Inspect equipment: Identify wear, defects, and repair requirements while maintaining high workmanship standards.
- Support operations: Assist maintenance and mining crews with repairs to equipment and underground infrastructure.
Team Support & Safety
- Collaborate: Work closely with supervisors, mechanics, miners, and site personnel to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Safety leadership: Follow all HCC and client safety procedures and actively participate in safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments.
- Communicate effectively: Report progress, issues, and repair requirements to Site Leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of welding experience, preferably within mining, industrial, construction, or heavy equipment environments.
- Certification: Journeyperson Welder Certification preferred. CWB certification and qualified apprentices with strong experience may also be considered.
- License: Valid driver’s license.
- Physical requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and working in underground mining environments.
- Attributes: Strong safety focus, good judgment, dependability, initiative, and excellent communication skills.
Asset Qualifications
- Underground mining experience: Previous experience working in underground mining operations.
- Mechanical knowledge: Experience with diesel equipment, heavy equipment repairs, or hydraulic systems.
- Mine safety training: Current Saskatchewan General Mine Safety Awareness (GMSA), Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platforms, Confined Space or other mining-related certifications.
- Additional certifications: Current First Aid/ CPR or additional trade qualification.
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
