Who we are:

Polyethics Industries was founded in 1991 with one specific goal, to use 100% recycled plastic to make high quality industrial garbage bags. We specialize in manufacturing environmentally friendly polyethylene film and bags for both agricultural and consumer use. With no extra cost and without sacrificing quality, we offer a green solution. We are the first manufacturer to use 100% recycled material to create 100% degradable products which are 100% recyclable!

Position Title: Millwright

What the typical day looks like for the Millwright position:

Perform inspections, adjustments and repairs on production and facilities equipment;
Install, dismantle and overhaul machinery;
Analyze mechanical problems and troubleshoot errors and breakdowns;
Perform inspections, PMs and correct issues through work order program in a timely manner;
Operate machine tools including lathes, drills, grinders, saws, hand tools etc.;
Housekeeping of maintenance area;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Relevant industrial experience required;
Red Seal Millwright License;
5+ years with hands on repair and maintenance of machinery in high volume manufacturing environment;
Technical skills with experience working on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems;
PLC knowledge and experience considered an asset;
Ticketed skilled worker considered an asset;
Strong knowledge of preventative/predictive maintenance schedules;
Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure;
Proven ability to lead a task or project as well as take direction from others.

Location:

301 Forest Avenue North, Orillia, Ontario

Continental Shift:

Straight Nights - 7:00pm to 7:00am. The successful candidate will be expected to work every other weekend.
